The Challenge: Spreadsheets and Overcomplicated Software Slowed Operations

When Taggart joined Whistic, he inherited Spiff, which reps found frustrating and ineffective. As a result, he and his team transitioned back to spreadsheets to simplify the process.

But spreadsheets lasted just two months.

“It quickly became clear that spreadsheets weren’t scalable. Reps were frustrated, and the process was taking up too much time. We knew we needed a tool, but we also needed one that wouldn’t overcomplicate things like our previous software,” said Taggart.

“The time saved is immense,” Taggart said. “Instead of spending hours validating and recalculating numbers, we can run commissions quickly and accurately.”

Improved Transparency and Rep Satisfaction

Reps adapted to QuotaPath’s user-friendly interface, which was a nice change from their first go with automated commissions. 

Feedback from the team has been overwhelmingly positive.

“It’s so much easier for reps to track their earnings now. They know where to find everything, they don’t have to ask constant questions, and they can flag discrepancies directly in the system,” said Taggart.

QuotaPath has helped Whistic eliminate wide variances between estimated and actual payouts, increasing trust across the company.

“Before, finance and sales were constantly going back and forth to reconcile numbers. Now, we’re aligned from the start, and confidence in the system has grown immensely,” Taggart said.

Onboarding and Support: A Seamless Transition

While Whistic needed to move fast, Taggart recommends fully exploring QuotaPath’s capabilities.

“We had an aggressive timeline, but if I could do it again, I’d allow extra time to learn all the features up front. That would’ve paid dividends down the road,” he said. 

As for customer support?
